Nurse Practitioners provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order tests, and prescribe medication for children and adults. A nurse practitioner helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. They work in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Nurse Practitioners perform the important task of educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. They serve as a patient’s primary healthcare provider.
Job Responsibilities:
Providers will perform thorough, complete, and comprehensive patient history and physical exams. This will be in accordance with the format agreed upon by providers and the facility. This is a flexible schedule, hybrid position with onsite/ telemedicine variety. This is an on-call position on scheduled days, and the provider will only be necessary for the medical clearance portion of the patient’s stay at the behavioral health location and will collaborate with psych primary staff.
